ritualcinema: Tonight the Spectacle Theater screens an ambient documentary on what might be the ultimate cult group- Japan’s Les Rallizes Denudes.   The “ultra-mysterious and rumour-cloaked” psych/noise act began their live assault in the late 1960s by mixing radical left-wing politics with feedback heavy lightshows that built on an already revolutionary legend. Guided by Japanese avant-garde theater, the “mythically militant” band cranked the volume to 11 for turbulent student demonstrations while keeping almost all output in four decades of existence to live shows and bootlegs of.
